What Books Have You Worked On? Can I Buy Your Books?
More than a few! Ideally, you should support your local bookstores but here are links to some that are available now or for preorder:
I Heard: An American Journey by Jaha Nailah Avery; illustrated by Steffi Walthall
If You Travelled On The Underground Railroad by Ebony Joy Wilkins; illustrated by Steffi Walthall
You Should Meet John Lewis by Denise Lewis Patrick; illustrated by Steffi Walthall
The Story of Simone Biles by Rachelle Burk; illustrated by Steffi Walthall
The Story Of: Martin Luther King Jr by Christine Platt; illustrated by Steffi Walthall
50 Fearless Women Who Made American History by Jenifer Bazzit; illustrated by Steffi Walthall
Can You Work On My Self Published Work (Children’s Book/Picture Book)?
Currently I am only taking illustration work that comes through my agent so I am primarily working with publishing companies.
If that is you please contact James Burns at james@thebrightagency.com or go here!
Thank you so much for considering me, though!
Do You Take Personal Commissions?
Currently I am unavailable for personal commissions as I am working full-time on books and other projects, but thank you again for your consideration!
Do You Do Graphic Design? Logo Design? Animation?
Unfortunately I am neither a graphic designer or an animator! I sometimes make gifs but I don’t have the skillset (or the patience) for full blown animating. Shout out to the amazing folks that do though because woof.
Do you sell prints?
I do sometimes! Legally, I can’t sell work I’ve done for publishing or magazines but I have personal work up here! I use INPRNT, a print-on-demand shop that I upload work to. I don’t have control over the production or shipping times over there but they do produce very nice quality prints!
